The nursing staff at The Cedars strives to provide compassionate care to those who have been affected by stroke, heart attack, generalized debility and a number of progressive diseases. We also provide short-term therapies to those who are recovering from surgeries and many other conditions. Our foundation as a ministry to serve the community is readily apparent not only in the care we provide to our residents but in the support we give to their families, as well. While our long-term residents are always encouraged to do as much for themselves as possible in order to maintain their independence and dignity, our nurses, our aides, and even our dietary, maintenance and housekeeping staffs are there to provide care and offer assistance with activities of daily living.

Our medical director, who is a lifelong resident of the community, provides medical oversight to all of our residents. His commitment to meeting the health care needs of the senior population is readily apparent in his interactions with our residents. Our care is further enhanced by our team of nurse practitioners and our staff psychologist.

In addition, The Cedars is proud to contract with Healthcare Therapy Services to provide physical, occupational, and speech therapies in our therapy gym. These services are an integral part of our mission to help our residents attain and maintain their highest practicable level of functioning.Our care is complemented by our partnership with four service providers that offer on-site dental, podiatry, audiology and vision care. Finally, our registered dietitian oversees the residents’ dietary needs.
